Daily Contest – June 13th 2008

UPDATE: Marshall Karlin came the closest at 13.76 but unfortunately no on guess the NOG opening price exactly which was $13.80. Another contest is right around the corner!

Although no one won the first contest, it was kind of interesting with some close guesses and I’d like to up the ante to $75 gift card to get some more participants.

The Rules: Guess the opening price on AMEX of Northern Oil and Gas (NOG) for MONDAY’s (6/16) Opening Bell. You must guess the EXACT opening price to the second decimal place (ie 14.08). No prize for getting close. Just put your answer in the COMMENT section (bottom right hand corner of this post) and you are done…. although use a valid email address or i won’t be able to contact you!

All entries must be in by 6/14 11:59PM Eastern Time.

Prize: $75 Gift Card (or $75 sent to your Paypal account) whichever you prefer.

Only 1 winner is possible as well as 1 entry per person and I reserve the right to arbitrage any disputes. Below is a 1 day chart of Northern Oil & Gas (NOG).

Looking to pick up KOG here below 3.48

Most of the bakken plays are showing strength today with the oil supply data that came out this morning. One stock showing weakness on low volume is KOG which is currently around $3.46 a share at the time of this posting (1:50 PM Eastern). We believe that this short term weakness will dissipate and KOG will touch $4 in the next 2 weeks.
